Pushing Boundaries with Immersive Designs

In the fast-paced arena of technology exhibitions, Panasonic Connect has consistently raised the bar for trade show excellence by recalibrating its presence with every showcase, especially when participating at the Integrate Expo. From the vibrant energy of the 2022 conference to the latest hype of the 2024 convention, the brand’s metamorphosis on the exhibition floor is a testament to state-of-the-art innovation and sophisticated design.

What began as a conventional display transformed into an immersive presentation over the years, with Panasonic Connect consistently breaking new ground in the tech industry’s trade show landscape. By integrating advanced features and showcasing a new range of technologies, the company continues to upgrade, presenting its brand in fresh ways spectators have never seen before.

The Beginning of Trade Show Brilliance

The Challenges

It all started in 2022 when Panasonic Connect first partnered with Expo Centric for its showcase at the Integrate Expo. Looking back on its previous participation in the conference, the brand wanted to upgrade its display by focusing on a specific layout that showcased various products. With that, they detailed the following expectations:

  • Broadcast Demo Display: To include a demo bench for product displays, required for mounting PTZ cameras.
  • Panapod: A standalone display for the PTZ camera to ensure visibility and accessibility.
  • Projector Displays: Laser projectors with ultra-short throw lenses to project onto screens for an immersive visual experience.
  • Broadcast Studio Camera: A dedicated area for the broadcast studio camera to highlight its capabilities and applications.

The Build

Maximising the 6x9m space with urban-slate flooring, Panasonic Connect enticed visitors to explore its latest innovations with a forward-thinking stand, meticulously segmented into various engaging sections.

At the forefront, guests were welcomed by the expansive Broadcast Demo Display showcasing a range of high-tech visual products atop an Aluvision benchtop displaying the brand’s logo. Beside it was the Panapod media stand with a portrait-oriented screen and a countertop behind it for product setup.

Deeper into the stand, three strategically divided spaces situating Projector Displays offered a space for visitors to experience Panasonic Connect’s visual technology mastery. The central area and two side sections featured cutting-edge projection screens, units, and information walls highlighting the product lineup. Scattered throughout the booth were broadcast studio cameras, adding to the brand’s comprehensive displays that made it the leader in state-of-the-art audiovisual solutions.

The Features

Projector Displays

  • World’s Smallest Projector
This space featured the world’s smallest and lightest 20,000-lumen 3-chip DLP 4K projector.
  • LCD Laser Projectors (Right Side)
This section showcased the brand’s LCD laser projectors and Zero Offset Dibra Short Throw Zoom lenses.
  • 1-Chip DLP Laser Projectors (Left Side)
This L-shaped area, complete with a projection screen and an informative graphic wall, presented Panasonic’s range of short and ultra-short throw lenses.
  • Panapod Media Stand
This freestanding structure perfectly showcased the brand’s mobile and convenient standalone elevation system for professional PTZ cameras.

2023: Adopting a New Exhibition Approach with a Larger Space

The Challenges

The following year, Panasonic Connect continued solidifying its presence at the Integrate Expo 2023 with an expanded 9x9m stand. For this display, they envisioned a refreshed layout with uniquely defined areas that broke away from its previous design. Meeting this goal required Expo Centric to prioritise the following:

  • Custom Archway: A feature that would house a large modular LED screen.
  • Immersive Projection Room: A partitioned 4x4m space with sufficient height to safely mount projectors above attendees.
  • Ceiling Rigging for Projectors and REQ12 Edge Blend Demo: Rigging 4 projectors onto the ceiling for a large custom-built screen and edge blending demo on the Immersive Projection Room’s exterior.
  • FPD/Signage Demo Setup: Wall-mounted digital signage screens for the FPD/signage demo.
  • Custom Table Countertops: Display surfaces with built-in cable management to prevent wiring clutter.
  • Venue Column Obstruction: Hide a structural column from the ICC venue using a large printed fabric to blend it with the stand design.
  • Product Fitting and Grouping: Ensuring all Panasonic products, including the LED 110″ freestanding display and broadcast demo bench, fit within the stand space while being categorised and displayed without clutter.

The Build

Unlike typical exhibition stands with one key feature, Panasonic Connect’s 2023 booth was brimming with eye-catching focal points that captured guests’ attention. Anywhere they turned revealed something captivating that set the brand apart, making the experience impactful and memorable to each visitor who explored the company’s cutting-edge offerings.

The first main attraction of the display was the stunning Immersion Projection Area, an L-shaped space made prominent by two oversized walls that cast presentations from the projectors rigged on the event centre’s ceiling, along with the stand’s white banner showing the brand’s logo.

Moving further into the booth, attendees were further enticed to explore Panasonic Connect’s offerings with an expansive white custom archway, beautifully framing a massive LED wall that added to the stand’s tech-savvy appeal.

Behind it was a sapphire blue wall that served as one of the stand’s backdrops, showcasing digital screens with a custom white benchtop attached to it that housed a range of projectors.

Adjacent to the projector range, another feature wall showcased a more comprehensive product display, including high-tech surveillance cameras and full-scale monitoring systems, on a sleek, glossy table.

Tying the stand’s impactful appeal together was the existing venue pillar repurposed as its branding element. Wrapped in blue fabric displaying Panasonic Connect’s logo, this feature made the booth more prominent across the exhibition centre.

2024: Embracing Immersive Expo Evolution

The Challenges

Taking the brand’s vision further, Panasonic Connect aimed to push the boundaries of immersion with its 2024 stand. To build on the previous year’s success, the company wanted to transition from a showcase of technologies to an immersive experiential setting where its innovations aren’t just seen but also felt and experienced.

As such, they specified to strategically integrate the following areas, ensuring the exhibition space maximised visibility despite the intricate target layout:

  • Igloo Vision Room: An area that will demonstrate immersive meeting/learning spaces with floor-to-ceiling projection and software
  • Video Mixer Demo: A meeting room that will showcase the brand’s AI technology with the AI Keying function
  • FMP Media Player Demo: A mounted 2x3m projector screen on a flat wall, and placed on a plinth opposite the screen at waist height
  • Edge Blend Projection Demo: To have two projectors sitting on a waist-height bench.
  • General Display Area for Static Projectors, Third-Party Enclosure, and Collaboration Solutions: Sufficient space to showcase various products
  • General Display Area for Broadcast and Pro AV: Ample space to display items from these product lines.

The Build

Focusing on creating secure and efficient environments through advanced audiovisual solutions, Panasonic Connect echoed with distinction at the 2024 expo with its impressive 9x9m booth, perfectly combining modern design and technology integration. The stand, draped in sleek black with striking blue accents, featured a visually compelling hanging banner that showcased the brand’s logo, while the existing venue pillar was wrapped in blue-printed fabric to enhance the display’s flair.

Beside the towering post was the Igloo Vision Room, a three-walled space with a ceiling where three projectors were mounted. In the middle of it was a long table with chairs for in-depth discussions about immersive collaboration.

Shifting to the opposite side of the stand, visitors were greeted by another set of product displays, meticulously segmented into various sections. The backwall of the Igloo Vision Room was used as the space for the FMP Media Player and Edge Blend Projection demos, where screens and projectors placed on a black benchtop displayed Panasonic Connect’s prowess in projection technology.

Beside it, another room that upgraded the booth’s immersive feature enticed guests to discover the brand’s AI technology. The Video Mixer Demo space, structured with white walls and ceilings, successfully disproved the necessity for green screens and paved the way for seamless background compositions.

Additional sections within the stand featured static projectors, collaboration solutions, and broadcast and Pro AV displays, all thoughtfully arranged to ensure an engaging and informative experience for all attendees.

The evolution of Panasonic Connect’s exhibition stands from 2022 to 2024 resulted from the brand’s dedication to improvement and fostering the right partnership throughout the years. By collaborating with Expo Centric, the company’s presence at the Integrate Expo successfully evolved from having an engaging display to showcasing a fully immersive presentation that elevated the approach for tech exhibition.

“Working with the team at Expo Centric is always very rewarding. They find a balance between working with our team to get the right feel, and they understand the technical abilities of what our products can do. We’ve worked with them for a number of years, so they really understand what our brand represents and how to best present that in a stand space and a trade show environment.”
