Showcasing the “Toyota Advantage” in Integrated Logistics Solutions: Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) and Vanderlande at CeMAT 2024

Spotlight on Collaborative Excellence

In a stunning exhibition display of combined innovation and partnership, Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) and Vanderlande, two titans of end-to-end integrated logistics solutions, unveiled an impressive collaboration at CeMAT 2024 from July 23 to 25 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC).

Their striking 6×15m stand, a captivating blend of custom and rental elements, drew in attendees with its cohesive yet distinctly branded presentation that perfectly exemplified the “Toyota Advantage.” This strategic co-exhibition effort not only highlighted the unified excellence of both companies under the Toyota Industries Corporation umbrella but also celebrated their individual strengths through various compelling product exhibits.

Challenges

TMHA made a deliberate decision to co-exhibit with Vanderlande at CeMAT 2024, prompting Expo Centric’s team to address the following considerations in preparation for their joint showcase:

  • Overall Aesthetics

    • Vanderlande aims to maintain the successful design aesthetic from CeMAT 2023 while ensuring adjustments to avoid visually dividing the stand from TMHA.
    • The design intended to have Aluvision-made graphic walls complemented by orange and grey ACP walls to create a cohesive visual identity.
  • Collaborative Distinction

    • The design must integrate both TMHA and Vanderlande’s stands without a dividing wall, maintaining a unified appearance while distinguishing each with unique colours and graphics.
  • Stand Structure and Layout

    • TMHA required subflooring to support heavy forklifts, deviating from the use of standard flat-ramp edge flooring.
    • The requested backwall for the TMHA area reduced stand space by one metre, requiring strategic design to maintain a seamless flow for booth visitors around four massive product displays.
  • Other Specific Requests

    • The booth must feature rigged banners and a shared coffee/barista area to enhance visibility and attendee engagement.

The Build

The resulting 6x15m standwith 6x9m dedicated to TMHA and 6x6m to Vanderlandewas a masterpiece of forward-thinking design that seamlessly blended the unity and distinction of these two powerhouses in material handling and logistics automation.

Stepping into the classic oak floor-tiled booth, guests were greeted by a vibrant splash of TMHA’s dynamic red-and-white branding, with a towering banner boldly proclaiming the company’s commitment to providing “Solutions for Every Pallet.”

Highlighting the brand’s robust technology, the meticulously arranged display of forklifts and pallet jacks drew immediate attention, complemented by a sleek interactive digital display at the backwall showing detailed information and demonstration of the material handling equipment.

The bright lighting also set an inviting atmosphere for the space, and a conveniently positioned meeting area offered a perfect spot for discussions over a good cup of coffee from the adjacent shared barista counter.

Going into the Vanderlande area, separated from TMHA’s space with a red LED strip light embedded into the floor, visitors were welcomed with the brand’s signature hues of orange and white. The section was adorned with a suspended rectangular banner that proudly declared them a “Global Partner for Future-Proof Warehouse Solutions.”

At the forefront, a sophisticated information desk and a dynamic digital media blade welcomed guests to dive deeper into the company’s automated logistics solutions, inviting them to continue conversations in the spacious area that offered a clear view of the backwall’s digital presentation and the equipment displays.

Features

Audiovisual Displays and Backwalls

The two areas featured 82” digital screens, with TMHA’s monitor integrated into a fully graphic wall and Vanderlande’s mounted on a backwall made of grey aluminium composition panels, both with standard white cupboards inside. Additionally, Vanderlande enhanced its display by adding a rental media blade with a 65” screen.

TMHA amplified its backdrop structure with a lighted Maxima frame enhanced with red LED lights, while Vanderlande adjusted its backwall size to meet CeMAT’s 50% visibility requirements.

Large-Scale Product Displays

The following heavy-duty material handling equipment showcased by TMHA was considered the standout feature of the stand, solidifying the company’s position as an industry leader at CeMAT 2024:

Results

Illuminating a visionary path for advancing automated logistics in the future, the co-exhibition effort of TMHA and Vanderlande at CeMAT 2024 hit the mark in showcasing a unified stand that embodied the powerful “Toyota Advantage.” With the exhibition expertise of Expo Centric, the two brands successfully celebrated their shared excellence in logistics innovation through an impressive and innovative booth.

“In the lead-up to the show, we couldn't have been more impressed with Expo Centric. We've been working with them [for] quite a few months, and we gave them a brief that we wanted them to fill, and they brought our vision to life. We just passed them what we wanted to look like, and they built it. Even in like about two weeks before we made some major changes to our stand, they managed to adapt and get those on for us and it looked brilliant on the day that we turned up the communication during the build. They sent regular updates and gave us phone calls to make sure everything looked how we wanted. We were really impressed with them; they were fantastic.”
