About the Show
NeurIPS 2026 is the 40th Annual Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems and one of the world’s major interdisciplinary gatherings for artificial intelligence and machine learning research.
Hosted at ICC Sydney, the seven-day event brings together academic research, commercial technology and practical AI implementation through conference presentations, tutorials, demonstrations, poster sessions, workshops, competitions and a professional industry exposition.
Founded in 1987, NeurIPS has developed into a multi-track annual meeting covering advances across machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, statistics, optimisation, computer vision, natural language processing, neuroscience and related scientific fields.
The NeurIPS Expo provides a dedicated platform for organisations to present AI and machine learning ideas developed in an industrial context. It is designed to encourage meaningful exchange between academia, commercial organisations, non-profits, open-source communities and other institutions working across the global AI ecosystem.
Key Features of the Show
NeurIPS Expo
A full day of industry-focused talks, panel discussions, workshops, demonstrations and technical training sessions examining how AI and machine learning are being developed and deployed in real-world environments.
Research Presentations
Oral sessions and large-scale poster presentations provide access to new, peer-reviewed research from across the international machine learning community.
Invited Talks and Panels
Leading researchers and industry experts explore major technical developments, scientific challenges and emerging issues affecting artificial intelligence.
Workshops and Competitions
Topical workshops provide a more informal environment for discussing work in progress, future research directions and emerging scientific paradigms. Competitions allow participants to test methods against practical datasets and technical challenges.
Demonstrations
Live demonstrations allow participating organisations and research teams to present working technologies, experimental systems, models and practical applications.
