About the Show
Founded more than seven decades ago, the CSANZ ASM has grown into our region’s flagship cardiology congress, bringing together cardiologists, surgeons, scientists, nurses and allied health professionals for education, standards, and policy influence. CSANZ also recognises career-long excellence through the prestigious R T Hall Prize, reinforcing the meeting’s role in celebrating and accelerating discovery that changes practice.
CSANZ 2026 builds on a proven format refined in Brisbane 2025: plenaries and named lectures, themed symposia, mini-orals and posters, plus structured social programming designed to maximise peer exchange and industry engagement. Expect the hallmark elements—opening ceremony with named lectures, breakfast sessions, Ralph Reader Prize young-investigator finals, working-group and council meetings, and evening functions such as the President’s Reception and Poster Wine & Cheese—adapted to Sydney and curated by the NSW organising team.
Key Features of the Show
Named Lectures & Plenaries
A high-impact plenary slate anchors each day, historically featuring the R T Hall Lecture and other named talks that distil new evidence into practice-changing takeaways. The opening-day structure typically combines an inauguration with keynote science before breaking into parallel streams.
Young-Investigator & Prize Sessions
The meeting showcases emerging leaders through themed young-investigator prize sessions and the Ralph Reader Prize finals—fast-paced, data-dense presentations that highlight tomorrow’s chief investigators.
Heart-Team Program Architecture
From imaging and electrophysiology to prevention, women’s heart health, genetics and digital/AI, the agenda is purpose-built for multidisciplinary teams. Working-group meetings (e.g., Women in Cardiology) and allied-health content sit alongside specialty symposia and mini-orals for deep, practical learning.
Interventional Focus with ANZET Alignment
CSANZ regularly co-locates with ANZET (Australia & New Zealand Endovascular Therapies), adding live-case–driven interventional content and structural/coronary symposia that pull operators, nurses and technologists onto the same page. Expect similar cross-pollination in 2026.
Industry Exhibition & Networking
A multi-day exhibition puts delegates face-to-face with device, pharma, diagnostics and digital innovators; sponsor packages include breakfast or lunch symposia and mini-oral theatre access during breaks. After hours, the President’s Reception, Poster Wine & Cheese and other socials create targeted, high-value networking.
Who Exhibits
- Medical devices & structural heart/EP technologies (catheters, valves, mapping/ablation, imaging)
- Pharma & biotech (heart failure, lipids, diabetes/cardiometabolic)
- Diagnostics, digital health & AI vendors (echo/CT/MR, wearables, decision-support)
- Clinical service providers & professional bodies (registries, foundations, societies)
Who Attends
- Cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, interventionalists & electrophysiologists
- Cardiology trainees, scientists, nurses, technologists & allied health
- Researchers, policy advisors and industry medical teams
- CSANZ anticipates up to ~2,000 professional delegates at the combined meeting profile in recent editions (excludes sponsors/exhibitors)
Why Should You Exhibit?
- Meet the whole heart team, in one hall. CSANZ is Australasia’s most comprehensive cardiovascular gathering, giving you concentrated access to decision-makers across clinical, research and procurement roles. The format bakes in contact time—breakfast/lunch sessions and mini-oral theatres during breaks—so your science and solutions get seen.
- Launch, educate, convert. Exhibition packages include sizeable footprints (from 9 m² booths up to 72 m² custom spaces) and options for sponsored sessions—ideal for unveiling data, training users and building a qualified pipeline.
- Work the social flywheel. The President’s Reception and Poster Wine & Cheese place your team in the centre of delegate traffic when conversations are longest and most candid—perfect for demos and follow-ups.
- Extend your reach pre- and post-meeting. Sponsors receive staged delegate lists and multi-channel visibility (website, app, onsite signage), letting you target outreach before, during and after Sydney.
