Wave Sydney 2026 marked an expansion of Expo Centric’s traditional custom-build capabilities into complete event production and management.

Working with global medical aesthetics company Wontech, Expo Centric managed the delivery of an exclusive Sydney event bringing together approximately 130 Australian medical professionals for an evening of clinical education, product discovery, networking and hospitality.

Rather than delivering individual exhibition or fabrication elements, Expo Centric took responsibility for the complete physical and operational event experience — coordinating custom fabrication, branded environments, registration, AV, presentations, product displays, suppliers, staffing, venue logistics and event-day delivery.

The result was a highly polished, cohesive event delivered ahead of schedule, with every element working together as one integrated experience.

The Objective

Wontech wanted Wave Sydney 2026 to be more than a product showcase.

The objective was to create an exclusive environment where leading medical and aesthetic professionals could connect with the Wontech brand through clinical education, product experience and meaningful networking.

The event program combined welcome drinks and networking with keynote addresses, clinical presentations, product demonstrations and a formal dinner, before transitioning back into networking.

For Expo Centric, the project represented an opportunity to apply its design, fabrication and live-event expertise across the entire event lifecycle — creating one consistent experience from arrival and registration through to presentations, product engagement, dining and departure.

The Challenge

Delivering a premium event inside an operational hotel presented a very different logistical challenge to a traditional exhibition environment.

The Great Room at W Sydney provided an impressive setting, but access to the event space required careful coordination. Large custom-built elements, product displays, equipment and event infrastructure needed to be transported through the hotel’s service and elevator network before being assembled within a limited bump-in window.

With multiple suppliers and workstreams converging on the venue, there was little margin for delay.

At the same time, the event itself contained several interconnected experiences — registration, branded installations, medical equipment displays, photography, AV, presentations, live entertainment, food and beverage, staffing and a formal dinner.

The challenge wasn’t simply getting everything into the room.

It was ensuring every supplier, build element and operational detail came together at exactly the right time while maintaining the premium finish expected by Wontech and its guests.

The Solution

Expo Centric approached Wave Sydney 2026 as one integrated event rather than a collection of individual suppliers and deliverables.

The custom fabrication and physical environment were planned around the venue’s access limitations from the outset. Detailed sequencing, crew planning and close coordination during bump-in allowed large-format elements to be transported, installed and finished efficiently despite the restricted elevator access.

The result was a transformed venue featuring:

  • Large-scale Wontech product display environments
  • Bespoke illuminated product bays
  • A statement Wave Sydney 2026 photo moment
  • Registration and guest welcome areas
  • Branded wayfinding and event signage
  • Product demonstration stations
  • Custom counters and display structures
  • A 360° photo activation
  • Integrated presentation, lighting and AV environments

Behind the physical transformation was a broader event-management operation.

Account Manager Holly and the Expo Centric production team managed the custom build, fabrication, signage, installation logistics and complete bump-in operation.

Event Producer Alana led the day-to-day client relationship and coordinated the wider live-event requirements, including AV, presentation management, gala and venue logistics, external suppliers and event staffing.

The detailed operations planning also covered guest registration and badge management, presentation cueing, lighting, audio, video content and the transition between networking, presentations and dinner.

By managing these streams under a single production structure, Expo Centric created one point of coordination from fabrication floor to show floor.

The Result

Wave Sydney 2026 was delivered successfully, with the complete event environment installed and ready ahead of schedule.

Careful pre-production and an experienced onsite crew overcame the venue’s challenging access conditions without compromising the quality of the finished environment or delaying the event program.

Guests moved through a cohesive branded journey — from welcome and registration into immersive product displays, clinical presentations, networking and dinner — rather than experiencing disconnected event components.

For Wontech, the result was a professionally produced event that supported its objective of bringing together medical professionals for clinical exchange, product discovery and relationship building. The event’s own invitation positioned the evening around clinical innovation, academic exchange and meaningful networking.

For Expo Centric, Wave Sydney demonstrated something equally important:

Our capability doesn’t stop at designing and building the environment. We can produce the entire event within it.

From concept and fabrication through supplier coordination, AV, staffing, entertainment, venue management and live delivery, Wave Sydney 2026 demonstrated Expo Centric’s ability to act as a full-service event production partner.
